Our authors: real voices that deserve to be heard
At Varietex, we don't publish fiction. We publish life .
Every book we read is made up of memories, wounds, emotions, and courage. These aren't fictional novels: we're talking about real experiences told by those who lived them on the front lines . Civil Guards, healthcare workers, soldiers, police, emergency drivers, volunteers... They all have one thing in common: they decided to turn their experiences into a testimony .
Authors with face, name and courage
Many of our authors sign their names. It's their way of saying, "This happened, I was there, this is my story." People like:
-
Sergio Navarro , a Civil Guard officer stationed at the border, describes the daily challenges in southern Spain.
-
Laura Sánchez , a TES in ambulance services, recounts the endless nights at the wheel of life in her book "Turnos sin reloj" (Turns Without a Clock) .
-
Carlos M. , a Spanish soldier deployed in a conflict zone, who left a mark on what it means to serve in silence.
-
Ana Borrás , emergency room nurse, author of "Diario de Guardia" , a work that blends professionalism with brutal humanity.
And also… the anonymous authors
Not everyone wants to be publicly recognized. Some prefer to keep their identity protected. Whether out of respect for their unit, confidentiality, or simply personal modesty, many of our books are signed by:
-
Initials
-
Fictitious names
-
Or directly as "Anonymous Author"
But that doesn't diminish their value. On the contrary: their testimony speaks louder than their name . Their words carry weight. Their stories are painful, moving, and make us reflect.
What motivates our authors?
They're not looking for fame. Nor for money. Most write because:
-
You need to close a personal cycle
-
He wants to leave a record of what he experienced.
-
Wants to honor fallen comrades
-
Or simply because you feel your story can help, teach or inspire
Do you also have a true story?
If you're part of a corps, work in emergency situations, or have experienced something worth sharing, at Varietex we're open to turning it into a book . You don't need to be a writer. You just need to have experienced it and want to share it.
A community made of memory
Varietex isn't just a publishing house. It's a community of witnesses , of authors who leave their mark. Some named, others anonymous, but all with one thing in common: their story matters .
And here, all true stories have their place.
